The KIWA is an association of local weavers in Ifugao who utilize both the backstrap and foot loom in Ifugao. KIWA consists of elders who serve as mentors to the young generation of weavers.  KIWA is devoted to reviving traditional weaving in Ifugao and other areas. Its members continue to teach, mentor, and conduct workshops in various communities. KIWA has contributed to binodbodan  (resist dye technique) or weaving warp ikat, a tradition revived by the weavers.
